The Eritrean Development Foundation (EDF) will host a special benefit dinner to commemorate EDF's fifth anniversary and to honor internationally renowned author Thomas Keneally, who will receive the first-ever Eritrean Development Foundation Fred Hollows Award. All proceeds from
the dinner will go to support Eritrean drought victims. Mr. Keneally, the author of "To Asmara"
and "Schindler's List", has also agreed to be the keynote speaker at the event. This dinner will be held in memory of the late Dr. Fred Hollows, a pioneering Australian eye surgeon who, like Mr. Keneally, was especially active in Eritrea humanitarian issues. More details will follow.
